National Cherry Blossom Festival -
The National Cherry Blossom Festival is an annual two-week event that celebrates spring in Washington, DC and the 1912 gift of 3000 cherry blossom trees to the people of Washington, DC. The streets of DC come alive with festivities, live music, fireworks, fashions shows, arts and crafts, parties and parades. One of DC's treasured traditions, the Parade of the National Cherry Blossom Festival features marching bands, dance and drum teams, choirs, horses, antique cars, and the cherry blossom queen.
